Bridging the Gap between the Black Community & Healing

Our Story.

Chicago Black Therapists | Our Story

If you are seeking a Black identifying therapist, you have come to the right place. If you are a Black therapist wishing to join our evolving community, you are also in the perfect place. All of us in this one place have come together over a common goal – to nurture Black mental health, provide a safe space to seek out mental health care, and create a movement where finding a Black therapist is no longer met with dead ends and endless google searches. George Floyd movement validated this need which allowed my idea of creating a list of Black therapists to flourish and become viral. As of today, we have had hundreds of Black therapists listed with thousands of website visits and impressions per month.

We continue to engage with our organic community and provide free resources through a newsletter (subscribe here), blog (read here), and podcast (listen here). Through this content, we decolonize mental health by challenging what has traditionally been practiced as it pertains to working as a psychotherapist and how treatment is provided to communities of color.
