While we do not offer therapist matching services, you can search our directory and narrow your search using the filters. From there, contact each therapist you’re interested in by clicking “Send a message” or contacting them via their listed website or phone number.

Alternatively, visit our directory assistant where you can click on any individual filter or specialization to be directed to therapists that match your selection.

Option 1: Keyword Search
Type a keyword in the white search box next to the Search button. Your keyword will only be searched within therapist names and bios.

Option 2: Use Filters
You can also narrow your search by selecting one of the following filters:

• Search by Zip Code

• Filter by Treatment Specialties

• Filter by Affirming + Populations Served

• Filter by Session Type

• Filter by Payments Accepted

• Filter by Insurances Accepted

After selecting a filter, click Search to update the directory results.

To further narrow your results, select an additional filter and click Search again. You can continue refining your search by applying filters one at a time.

Clear Filters / Start Over
To remove all filters and start a new search, click the Clear button next to the search box.

We do not provide profile metrics or performance indicators since our values are rooted in increasing access and creating a safe, affirming space for Black people to seek mental health care. Please feel free to learn more about us by watching our CBS interview.

If your goal is similarly aligned—to support accessibility, trust, and culturally responsive care for Black communities—then you are a good fit and are welcome to add Black-identifying Illinois-based therapists to the directory.

• Under the Welcome tab, scroll down to click Renew, Upgrade, or Update Billing

• Assure Chicago Black Therapist is ticked

• Scroll down and select Pay by credit card - monthly recurring or Pay by credit card - yearly recurring (save 17%)

• Once you've entered your billing information, click Save & Continue

• You will be brought to the Profile tab where you can update any profile information, if needed

• Scroll to the very bottom, click Save & Continue, and your updates will become visible on the directory immediately.

• Login at chicagoblacktherapists.com/manage-account

• Select Cancel Membership under your Welcome tab

• Scroll down, click Save & Continue, and the profile will be hidden and billing information deleted.

• If you wish to re-list your profile in the future, login with the same credentials and update billing information.

We try to make every effort to be transparent about billing, and so we do not offer refunds upon cancellation.

If you still have inbox access to the email address associated with your account, but have lost your password:

• Head to chicagoblacktherapists.com/manage-account

• Select Request Password and enter the email address on your account, then click the Request Password button

• A new password will be emailed to you and once logged in, you can change your password under the Welcome tab

If you no longer have access to the email address’ inbox but remember the password, you can still log in using the email address associated with the account.

If you no longer have access to the email address’ inbox, do not remember the email address associated with the account, AND forgot the password, please email us.
